17 REACH Bags Delivered to the OshKosh Fire Department

The Oshkosh Fire Department received 17 REACH bags on October 23rd. Executive Director Curt Fuszard, joined by Board Member Mary Wunsch, made the delivery. The Oshkosh Fire Department is sponsored by Bank First National. The firefighters and paramedics will be able to comfort and distract 340 children in crisis.

“It was our pleasure and honor to deliver today 17 “REACH BAGS” to Chief Timothy Franz and his Department.  Each bag, which is filled with children’s books and drawstring backpacks, will be placed in one of the vehicles within the Fire/EMS Department.  They are designed to provide the First Responders with a tool to comfort children in crisis. These resources were made possible thanks to a very generous donation from Bank First National,” Fuszard told REACH-A-Child’s Board of Directors.

“REACH-A-Child also provided the department with 260 new children’s books which will be used by the Fire and EMS professionals to proactively engage children in the community,” Fuszard says.
