Social Media Intern Leaves to Pursue Future Endeavors!

Social Media Intern Leave to Pursue Future Endeavors

At the beginning of the year, REACH-A-Child sought out an intern to help with our various Social Media channels. This need was quickly met with Marissa Smith. Marissa is a sophomore at UW Madison and has an interest in the nonprofit world. We felt this was a great fit and quickly welcomed Marissa onto our team.
Marissa helped our staff with lots of different duties, but was mostly responsible for managing our social media channels. She was in our office working with staff and committee members twice a week. Not only was she a huge help with our social media, but she also assisted us with events. Marissa created our Venmo account for donations, created our Facebook volunteer page and helped us increase our social media engagement.
On May 3rd, Marissa’s internship ended. It was an absolute pleasure working with Marissa and we know she will continue to do great things in her career.
Here are some words Marissa sent, regarding her time interning here at REACH-A-Child!

“Working as the Social Media Intern for REACH-A-Child™ has been an unforgettable experience. I have learned so much from all the wonderful staff who have been so warm and welcoming! I couldn’t have asked for a better internship experience. I learned so much about Social Media and the nonprofit world and I know that this experience will help in my future endeavors. Its amazing to see an organization that is so supported throughout the community and I am so blessed to have gotten to be apart of it! This is an experience that I will value throughout my life as I move on to the next chapters of my life. Thank you so much to the REACH-A-Child™ staff and supporters for being my role models and mentors this semester, I appreciate your support!”
